Bad curse on TSL top scorers

Gökhan Ünal:
He was the top scorer in 2005/2006 season with 25 goals but this year he tries to break the record of wasting chances. He’s held responsible for Trabzonspor’s recent dip of performances .

Semih Şentürk:
Despite being used as a substitute he was the top scorer in the last season. He was also impressive in Euro2008 but this year he still struggle to find himself a place in the first eleven.

Fatih Tekke:
He’s finishing abilities was probably the best in recent years. After his departure from Trabzonspor he got used to sit on the substitue bench on the Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg and dropped from the National Team squad following the outburst made by him against Terim.

Zafer Biryol:
He was the top scorer in 2003/2004 season with 25 goals and signed by Fenerbahçe after his impressive performances, but the footballer grinder Fenerbahçe did deflate another footballers career and without making only three appereances and scoring no goals he was released by Fenerbahçe. Now he plays for the lower league side Mersin Idmanyurdu.

Okan Yilmaz:
He was the top scorer of the Turkcell Super League twice by scoring 23 in 2000/2001 and 24 in 2002/2003 seasons. He was trialed by Olympique Marseille but the transfer was cancelled. After Bursaspor was relegated in a controversy he could never reach his old performances and played for several teams and now he plays for the lowe league side Belediye Vanspor.

Ilhan Mansiz:
He was the top scorer in the 2001/2002 season with 21 goals alongside with Arif Erdem and became one of the iconic players in the Turkey’s World Cup 2002 campaign gained popularity in Korea and Japan espescially for his hair style and flair. He did helped Beşiktaş to lift the championship title in their centenary in the next season and was transfered to Korean side Vissel Kobe for 4 million Euros but after that transfers he had to retire early because of recurring injuries when he was 31 years old.

Serkan Aykut:
He’s one of the best finishers in the TSL history and became the top scorer in 1999-2000 season by scoring 30 goals. He was signed by Galatasaray and mostly used as a substitute but he still shows there a satisfactory performance, but due to his advancing age he returned to his homeside Samsunspor and he still plays for the Samsun team. He could have been the overall 3rd top scorer of the league history if his team Samsunspor was in the Super League.
